Michael Des Barres was the front man for seminal 70’s bands such as Silverhead, a raucous glam rock experiment who were signed to Purple Records in 1972 and later Detective, who were signed to Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song records in 1975. In the early 80’s Michael formed super-group Chequered Past. In 1984 he joined The Power Station. Michael co-wrote the song “Obsession” a #1 hit in 27 countries.
